Solutions KaP Knowledge and Prevention 

Without the help of a specialized information instrument is impossible to manage the amount of data coming from complex structures.

K.a.P is the multileveled monitoring solution that supports its users in the daily and extraordinary security management marking the problems that impact on company's critical systems.

The solution comes from the increasingly need to reach a sustainable level of security, managing the different technologies and kind of information, often not uniform, in a global system in which the threats and defense technologies are constantly evolving.

Through its management console K.a.P offers in fact a double level of protection: the information centralization (optimizing the job for an IT manager) and the prevention of threats not identifiable otherwise in normal timing analysis.

The K.a.P project, developed and realized within CNR infrastructure-Rome Tor vergata 2 Research Area, comes from the need to identify a solution able to handle and analyze a high number of events generated by an “open” technological infrastructure, characterized by a network of public Ips with big transmission capability (100mb), a high variety of operating systems and technological elements and an unlimited access at a user level.

K.a.P. is a solution splittable in 3 forms:

  • a component able to integrate and elaborate information coming from any kind of technology on a single analysis engine.
  • Parallel Network Auditor (PNA) CON.NEXO’ 's proprietary software, allows to map company's process and their relevant criticality with information structure.
  • Installation and personalization of proprietary or open source instruments with the objective of providing further information to the analysis instrument.

The constant evolution of threats and protection systems makes more and more expensive IT and security manager job in trying to protect their company. To this purpose, K.a.P foresees the supply of a 24/7 management and monitoring service carried out by dedicated and certified staff, constantly updated on the issues of incident response. This comes from the awareness that no instrument could ever substitute the sensitiveness of whom having to take the right decision and solution or deliberately accepting a determined level of risk.
